As an outsider looking in, my life is average. I have the typical “nuclear family” setup. Two kids, loving husband, awesome dog, great job, rockin’ side business…a life I love.
I married a wrestler, turned sailor, turned Blacksmith – he goes by Travis.
Together we have two kids; a boy and a girl – they go by Ryder and Addison.
Two years ago we adopted the best pound puppy we could have ever hoped for – she goes by Charlie.
By day I am a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor – essentially I oversee 7 different imaging departments. I started out as a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech), cross-trained into Computed Tomography (CAT Scan), became the Lead CT Tech, and two years ago became a part of the management team on the very island my husband and I met 12 years ago.
Speaking of islands, yes it’s true, we live on one in the PNW. The only ways on and off our 55 mile island is either by bridge, or, ferry. Those of you that are familiar with Washington State know that we have some beautiful scenery and where we live does not disappoint! The picture below is the epitome of where we live. You can almost smell the fresh air, can’t you?
It is true that I am passionate about many things, but, here’s what you can expect from me here at Living in Lustre!
- I will be posting content 3-5 times per week.
- This blog is a life and style blog which means you will see an array of topics here – anything ranging from my day to day happenings, to all things beauty related, to my favorite dish that week, to my health journey, and of course, fashion – this girl LOVES shopping!
- I am pretty cheesy so expect that to come out every now and then too.
- I love a great deal so don’t be discouraged by my Instagram stories when I have days full of great deals…I still have yet to have access to the “swipe up” feature so please be sure to “like” my page so that I can provide links to my favorite deals as I share them with you!
- Did I mention my health journey earlier? I made it a goal this year to take back control of myself. A part of that goal is to lose unwanted baggage (to include 65 lbs). I do provide weekly check-ins on my Instagram stories, however, I will start including them here as well so that all of you can be a part of my journey!
My goal with this little space of mine is to share things with you that make me happy and excited. At the very least, my hope is to inspire you, share in life’s failures and accomplishments, and create a place that you feel comfortable sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying a few brief moments with me.
