Holiday Gift Guide For Him

Happy Tuesday!  As we continue the gift guide series, it’s only fitting to follow the gift guide for her, with a gift guide for him.  I don’t know about you, but, my husband is not an easy person to shop for so I sometimes have to be creative with his gifts.  This gift guide is a mixture between items I know my husband would love, other men in my family would love, and my male friends as well!

1// Carhartt Zip Up Hoodie – You will notice there are a few Carhartt items on here and it’s for one simple reason – the quality cannot be beat!  It is by far my husbands favorite brand for just about anything they offer and the hoodies are always a win for him.

2// Carhartt Hubbard Flannel Shirt – I kind of have a thing for a bearded dude in a flannel so I definitely dress my husband in flannels as often as I can.

3// Carhartt Boot Socks – Again, these socks are awesome quality and provide a little extra comfort and warmth for the boot wearer in your life.

4// UGG Slippers – Believe it or not, my husband did not wear slippers until about 3 months ago.  You guys he is obsessed!  I have a feeling I’ll be buying him a new pair each year from here on out.

5// ECHO Spot – This is an easy option for the technology love in your life.  They’re pretty sweet if you ask me!

6// Gerber Multi-Tool – I may actually want this for myself haha.  I think a Gerber is such a great option for the guy in your life that has just about everything else and you’re at a loss for a gift to give.  It’s practical, and extremely useful!

7// Beard Balm – For all of those bearded men out there, beard care is super important!  If you want your hair to stay healthy and tamed, I highly recommend this balm.  We have purchased probably over a dozen of these at this point and my husband always recommends it to others.

8// Braun Electric Shaver – For those that prefer a shaved face, this would be a great option.  It is more of a splurge item, but, I think with the years of use that one would get out of it, it’s totally worth it.

9// Herschel Supply Co. Duffel Bag – Every guy needs a bag of some sort.  My husband isn’t terribly picky about what he uses (honestly he would probably shove everything he owns into a backpack if he could), but, has always been a believer in duffel bags.  This one is a great brand that will stand up to some serious abuse.

10// Qalo Ring – My husband has worn his Qalo ring for a few years now and loves it.  I’m always on the hunt for one with a design I know he will love and this one is it for sure.  I love that these are a safe option for anyone that has the potential for work related injuries because they’re inexpensive and easy to cut off if need be.

11// Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch – Pretty much any smartwatch will do.  I love that this one looks like an actual watch, but, provides the same functions as a smartwatch does.

12// Beats Solo3 Headphones – Whether your guy is a gym nut, a musical lover, or really has any reason to wear headphones, these are for him.  Again, this is a splurge item, but, well worth it!

Do you see anything on that list that the guy in your life would love?

Inspiration Wednesday – Luggage Edition

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

I am going to start a new series on my blog called “Inspiration Wednesday.”  I feel like Wednesday can bring a lull to your week knowing that there’s just a few more days until the weekend and it’s always nice to have a little pick-me-up!  My goal is for these posts to serve as a source of inspiration and a way to window shop if you’re like me!  Let’s face it, there is definitely not enough room in my house to fill it with a ton of makeup, clothes, shoes, and accessories.  Honestly I’m not even sure I’d wear the same outfit twice if I bought everything I drooled over.  So this is an opportunity for me to share some items that I have been swooning over lately!

With the Holidays coming up sooner than I am prepared for, I thought it only fitting to start this series with some luggage/travel items that I have been loving.  Thankfully we don’t need to travel far for our family functions, but, as the kids grow older they’re starting to want their own items as opposed to sharing with us (or each other).  So I sat down with them and let them pick out their favorite piece of luggage they could find.  My husband on the other hand just throws out the “whatever you pick for me, I’ll use” statement…which is always true and I love him for trusting me with items he will use often.

We usually try to “pack light” which inevitably means that I will pack a million and one outfits for the kids (while forgetting something important like undies), and my whole closet mixed in with whatever items my husband has chosen to wear while we are away.  We have had the same luggage for probably a decade and I have been on the hunt for some new, hard shelled luggage.  I love the hard shell luggage because I feel like those protect your belongings far better – especially when you fly.  I tossed in a hat box (which I may actually pull the trigger on buying) because I am starting a collection of hats and this is an awesome way to store multiple hats in one box, as well as, sunglasses and jewelry.  I love multi-purpose items, don’t you?  As far as a cosmetics bag that I would use goes, all I search for is something that can be easily cleaned (because we all know how messy makeup can be) and will hold the items I will be using.  As I said earlier, I love products that are multi-purpose (I will go over my makeup pics in a future Inspiration Wednesday post) and my makeup is no exception.  Therefore, my cosmetic bag does not need to be huge.

The next three items are literally the epitome of my husband and kids.  My husband is a very simple man so I don’t believe he would ever choose this duffel bag for himself, however, I know he would love it if I brought it home.  Addison is obsessed with unicorns right now so this bad really spoke to her – she legit squealed when I showed it to her haha.  Ryder is a lot like his Dad – he prefers simple pieces.  He actually told me that he doesn’t need anything to pack his clothes into because he would just use his backpack that he currently uses for school.  Bless his little thrifty heart.  I asked him to choose anyway because I’m naggy like that haha.  So he picked a backpack, of course.  Honestly either one would be an amazing option for light packers out there, or, to be used as a carry-on.  Both brands are incredibly durable and ones that I am happy to sport!

That’s my first roundup!  What are some of your favorite luggage pieces for travel?
