Inspiration Wednesday: Loungewear

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

Happy Inspiration Wednesday, friends!  Clearly you can see a trend here…I freakin’ love the color green and I’m definitely not sorry about it!

I am a big fan of loungewear and am always excited to get out of my work clothes at the end of the day and be comfy.  I am not above wearing baggy sweats, but, sometimes I want to look a little more polished – especially if there’s a chance that company may come over.  I love that this whole combination is cute, comfortable, functional, AND most of this is on SALE!  Pretty much my all time favorite combinations for an outfit.

Aside from the outfit itself, can we talk about scrunchies for a minute?  I love how fashion seems to always come full circle and the 90’s are legit back in full force with these babies.  As much as I love that they’ve made a comeback, I can’t help but think of Carrie’s response to Berger in Sex and the City about how no New York woman would be caught in a hip restaurant wearing a scrunchie…makes me giggle.  That won’t stop me from wearing them again though!

10 Things I’m Thankful For

Sherpa Popover | Joggers | Shoes | Mug

Stepped out this morning for a touch of fresh air and to take a minute to reflect on all the things I’m thankful for. I truly am thankful for the people and things in my life every single day, but, today I want to share my top ten.

  1. I am so thankful to have the most incredible family. My husband and children give me life and I can’t begin to tell you what they mean to me without becoming a crying mess of a human.
  2. I am thankful to work in a field that helps people daily and gives me the chance to flourish in what drives me the most.
  3. I am thankful to have my health and well being.
  4. I am thankful to have all of you. This little space of mine doesn’t seem like much to most, but, your daily lift ups and positivity make my heart smile.
  5. I am thankful to have a roof over my head with a warm fire to cozy up to.
  6. I am thankful to have a low-key Thanksgiving with my husband and kids today.
  7. I am thankful for the delicious food that our bodies are about to receive.
  8. I am thankful for incredible friends that support me, build me up, and always know when I just need to bend their ear.
  9. I am thankful for busy and creative hands.
  10. Most of all, I am thankful that God has blessed me with everything I have ever been given in my life.

So many things to be thankful for this year and always! What are you thankful for this year?

Inspiration Wednesday: Travel Attire

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Whether you’re traveling by way of plane, train, or automobile, comfort is key!  Today’s post is a continuation of last weeks Wednesday Inspiration Post!  With the holidays sneaking up on us way faster than I would like, travel is generally a big part of getting the opportunity to spend time with those that mean the most.

I don’t know about you, but, I try to travel in comfort without looking frumpy.  I gathered a few items that would be perfect for any mode of transportation to include a little bit of everything!  Gibson x Living in Yellow just released some new pieces and I need all of them!  I paired a comfy outfit together to match with some practical sneakers (which come in multiple colors).  In the interest of keeping everything feminine I went with all pink hues.  I gave a second shoe option which are some sweet slides for those of you that hate having to untie your shoes in the airport – the slides are easy, cute, an functional!

I never leave the house without some kind of lip product.  Pretty sure a gloss or salve would have to be my top 5 must have items if I was ever stranded on a remote island.  This balm is an awesome option if you just want to hydrate your lips without adding a pop of color – bonus for it being in a portable container!

I don’t usually travel with my hair up for an extended period of time because the weight of my hair can tend to give me a headache when it’s all pulled up, however, it is important to always have a hair tie on hand at all times for “just in case” purposes.  Aren’t these scrunchies super cute??  I love that they are just as cute on your wrist as they are in your hair and would look super adorable with a messy bun.

The last item on the list is having the ability to read something on the go.  My sweet husband generally drives us everywhere and we love to listen to audio books while the kids get to play on their devices.  Although I love me some hardcover books traveling with them can be a hassle.  They get heavy and can really bog you down.  I love the Kindle Paperwhite because it’s lightweight, easy to use, and now can be used for Audible books which is huge for me!
